About Us

Social Impact Moderator

Marcos Salazar

Career and Life Coach, Co-Founder and CEO, Be Social Change

I’m a social entrepreneur, career + life coach, consultant, speaker, and community builder. I work with professionals, entrepreneurs, and creatives to help them pursue work they are passionate about, build authentic personal brands, and create lives that make the world a better place. I do this through 1-on-1 coaching, nonprofit and businesses consulting, and on a larger scale as Co-founder + CEO of Be Social Change where I’ve built the largest social impact community and professional development hub in New York City.

Over the past 10 years I’ve been fortunate enough to have educated, coached, and mentored thousands of professionals, entrepreneurs and creatives from every background and industry. One key lesson I’ve learned is when you grow your career and business, you create a greater capacity to make a positive impact in the world. As a result, my work focuses on creating programs, communities, and resources to help people and organizations connect with their purpose, unlock passions and talents, build capacity, and grow their social impact.

Erin Mogel

Career Coach, Founder and CEO, Elevate Social Impact

A life-long mentor and natural coach, I gain immense joy from guiding others on their journey to find work that is rewarding and gives back. I am a dedicated thought partner, guide, and cheerleader to all of my coaching clients, ensuring they have the tools, resources, support, and confidence they need to enjoy an impactful career. I am an empathetic leader, passionate about encouraging and uplifting my clients, shifting mindsets, and celebrating vulnerability.

With nearly 15 years of experience across the nonprofit and CSR sectors, I understand how challenging it can be to navigate the social impact landscape. A career pivoter myself, I share my own experience of transitioning from nonprofit to consulting to CSR to starting my own business. There is beauty in a non-linear career path, and I encourage my clients to pursue all that makes them feel fulfilled.

I help clients to clarify their career values and impact goals, define their purpose, tell their story, and supports on all tactical aspects of their job search (e.g. understanding social impact, feedback on resumes and cover letters, networking and LinkedIn techniques, interview prep, etc.).

I hold a Master’s in Human Rights from the London School of Economics (LSE) and graduated summa cum laude from Connecticut College with a Bachelor’s in Anthropology and Hispanic Studies.

Dave Lishansky

Life Coach, Founder and CEO, Elevate Social Impact

I’m a trained IFS facilitator and Mastery Coach. I support people to cultivate agency in their lives and foster sweeter inner and outer relationships. My journey into self-development work began in a men’s circle with a loud, deep inner voice telling me clearly, “Just Trust.” Since then, I’ve dedicated my life to expanding my capacity for self-love and acceptance, and helping others enter into courageous space to acknowledge, accept, and integrate their shame and trauma so they can better hear their own inner wisdom.

In working with me, I will help you transcend present pain, disconnection, or the sense that there’s something missing by stretching your capacity for self-compassion and helping you integrate whatever blocks — conscious or not — are holding you back. We will speak to and gain sovereignty over habits and patterns of over-prioritizing others’ well-being over your own, which too often leaves you feeling unfulfilled, lost, alone, and depleted. Together we will work to identify and address the habits and patterns that are no longer serving you so you can better hear and understand the clues that the earth and your body provide. This inner understanding and wisdom shows you the aligned and integrous path that can make your most courageous vision for a beautiful life your reality.

My mission in all of my work is to help us build better, sweeter, and more fulfilling relationships with ourselves and those around us. I’ve found being witnessed in this work not only saves time and energy, but it fulfills a need for deep connection that is invaluable in self-development work. If you’re interested in creating a more connected, present, and embodied world by starting with yourself, let’s see how we could work together.

How we can work together

On-Going Coaching

For ongoing coaching, we meet with clients for 3 one-hour sessions per month, with the first being a longer strategy session to set the foundation for our work. This timeline can be extended based on your schedule i.e., 3 sessions for 6 weeks for example. In addition to the in-person sessions, we will recommend exercises to help amplify the work we do in-person as well as send you any tools, readings, and resources that may be helpful.

Single-Session Laser-Focus Coaching

Sometimes people only need to meet once in a highly focused coaching session for 1-2 hours. For this type of coaching, we also include a follow-up email with action steps you can execute on as well as share any relevant resources / exercises that emerge from the session.

All sessions are held virtually. Pricing options vary based.

What Our Clients Say

Marcos helped me a lot in defining what I wanted out of my career and taking the right steps to make it happen. And, my career path can testify – from management consulting in New York, to creating education solutions for marginalised youth in South-East Asia, and now working in the global health sector in East Africa – his guidance was quite a catalyst!

-Maelle

I’m really impressed by the amount of content Marcos offers. I like that he doesn’t just give tips, Linkedin advice, or job search hacks, but he uses multiple resources to have well-rounded discussions helping each individual make personal discoveries and get clear on their purpose.

-Kristen

I enjoyed my conversations, and I got a lot out of them. I was totally unsure what to expect from a career coach, but talking to Jenn gave me a lot more insight into my career and interview skills, as well as helping me better focus on what my goals are (in life, not just my job!) and the possible routes to achieving them. I really appreciate it!

-Stacey

After leaving a toxic work situation, Jenn helped me find my passion. She was a great guide as I identified my strengths and how I wanted to make an impact in the social impact space. She worked with me to rewrite my cover letter and resume which led to more interviews. She also worked with me to let go of the baggage I was carrying with me from my last job. I’m now in a career that is a great fit for me. She is also a positive person who you want next to you during what can be a stressful time.
