Getting It Right

How Nonprofits and Foundations Can Collaborate Better

The secret to maximizing your impact is collaboration.

Shared knowledge, combined data collection and amplified resources empower your impact organization to tackle pressing issues in your community effectively and respond to challenges quickly.

That’s why UpMetrics developed a survey to explore how foundations and nonprofits are utilizing collaboration today. We uncovered a crucial need to set a baseline across stakeholders before embarking on a collaborative project, to avoid misalignment on items like the actual versus expected capacity levels, the importance of checking in throughout a program, and what success looks like.

Having these conversations can be intimidating, yet it is important to get it right so you’re set up for success. In this webinar, we’ll review what to expect, how to position your ask, and how to set expectations whether it is around reporting, fundraising, capacity, or other areas of collaboration. Annie Rhodes, Chief Strategy Officer at UpMetrics, will be joined by two professionals in the nonprofit space who will bring their first-hand experience from these conversations to the table.

Build skills in:

  • Collaboration
  • Strategic Planning
  • Cross-Team Management
  • Communications
This webinar is for you if you:
  • Have ever been challenged with communicating your goals clearly, or articulating what you’d like to get out of an initiative. You’ll walk away with an understanding of what items you should clarify first, forming a baseline, then next steps.
  • It will also help you gain confidence to approach conversations clearly in the value you are bringing, and where you’re looking to the other party to fill in gaps.
  • Most importantly, if you get excited about collaboration and feel there is often more opportunity but don’t know quite how to translate that into words or action plans, this can be a great jumping off point to think about the possibilities!

Use Your Data to Drive Action Partner

At UpMetrics, we believe that storytelling has the potential to become the most impactful tool for social impact organizations – especially when those stories are rooted in data. The platform empowers impact organizations to achieve clarity and focus of their impact across activities by combining quantitative and qualitative data functions designed to collect, understand and communicate impact.
